Ingredients:
1. White Pumpkin - 1/2 KG2. Black Pepper - 10 nos
3. Coconut - 1/2
4. Jeera - Little
5. Curd - 1/2 Ltr
6. Small Onions - 100 gm
7. Red Chilli - 4 Nos
8. Oil - 5 teaspoons
9. Mustard - Little
10. Curry Leaves - 1 Leaf
11. Salt - Little
12. Turmeric Powder - 1 teaspoon
13. Chilli Powder - 2 teaspoons
Steps:
Module 1: Coconut Mix
Module 2: Cooking Pumpkin
Module 3: Frying items
Module 4: Final Mix
PreRequisite:
1. Cut the White pumpkin first vertically into slices, then cut into small pieces. 2. Chop the onions into 2 slices each
3. Grate the coconut
Module 1: Coconut Mix
- Add the grated coconut, Black pepper, Jeera, little water and get it grinded using a mixer.
- Final mix should be like a thick Chutney.
- Add the cut pumpkin, salt(very little) and water (till the pumpkin soaks completely) in a pan and boil it for 10 mins. (half cooked)
- Reduce the flame to low. (Need to add the Module 1, 3 items here)
- Add oil, mustard, red chillies in a pan and fry it for a minute.
- Add chopped onions and fry it till Golden brown.
- Add the curry leaves.
- Add the turmeric, chilli powders
- Pour this fried items into the pan in Module 2
- Add more salt after adding the coconut mix, fried items(after 5 mins) to the boiling pumpkin and leave it to boil for 10 more mins.
- Stop the flame and let the mix to cool.
- Shake the curd well and add it to the above mix.
- Add more salt if needed.
